DeltaPhononDelta: The Origin Story
I am DeltaPhononDelta, a self taught artist. My work is heavily inspired by science-particularly Astronomy. I started making music in 2012 in GarageBand on my mother's MacBook. I started out making jazz and orchestral pieces. The jazz was pretty generic but the orchestral pieces were inspired by the dramatic pieces made for Law and Order.
At the time I had started learning the Bass Clarinet in school. My middle school band teacher was cruel and so it left a bad taste in my mouth that led to me avoiding band in the future in school-but I never gave up on music. It became my outlet for my trauma and good times.
Around 2012/2013 I expanded my playlist into electronic music. At the time I had only ever listened to Daft Punk, Justice, and Nero up until then. These influences were a drastic turning point in my work. And for the next ten or so years I would exclusively use GarageBand to make my music. I also make my own album covers. I would release on BandCamp and SoundCloud before eventually releasing my work on CDbaby.
Recently, I have begun to learn the ins and outs of FL Studio and began releasing my work for distribution on DistroKid and a few music videos/visualizers on YouTube on my official artist account.
At this time I am learning Guitar, Music Production, Music Theory, FL Studio, Singing, and Song Writing. I have a few songs written but they will not be recorded for a long while as my singing voice improves.
